CLEANING TIPS

Getting a professional valeted finish requires a good overall method and a great product. The following are steps we've compiled from a number of sources to help you get the best out of our product. We've started work to put together a brief video covering these steps and best use of Valeteers. The following is based on information gathered from a number of online sources and our experience.

First some basic rules:

* What's good for your crockery isn't good for your car. Opt for a pofessional product. Under the sink products will likely damage your paintwork

* Cleaning your car on a hot sunny day or in direct sunlight will lead to smears all over the body work as the water dries

* Be conscious of contaminating anything you put into contact with your paintwork. If you drop a sponge it'll pick up grit. Likewise taking the sponge straight to your car without first rinsing will cause it to pick up grit from the car. Grit means scratches

This leads us neatly into step 1 of the overall car cleaning process:

1. Rinse your car with a pressure washer or good jet hose first. You need to loosen the dirt and get the grit off the car before you shampoo.

2. In order to give the water time to loosen dirt move to the interior of the car. A 25ml dilution of Valeteers is a great way to address the upholstery, dashboard and interior surfaces.

3. Moving back to the outside, a 25-50ml dilution should be used to shampoo the car starting at the roof first. Work from panel to panel and save the sills and bumper for last. The sills and bumper will likely be the dirtiest with most grit. Use a more concetrated Valeteers spray bottle dilution on really stubborn stains.

4. Thoroughly rinse the vehicle again working methodically from panel to panel.

5. Getting to the wheels, most manufactured alloy products need to be kept well away from the rest of the paintwork. A 50ml dilution of Valeteers will not damage your paintwork and will effectively clean the wheels.

6. Finish off by drying the car using a quality chamois leather.
